"Affordable stay"

November 2011 — "One of my son's had a hockey tournament in Banff. A special rate for our team was negotiated at the Inns of Banff. At $99 per night, it seemed like a good deal, especially in this tourist haven. When we arrived, there appeared to be 3 different buildings; an A, B and C building all adjacent to one another. Finding the rooms through the maze of hallways and "bridges" which interconnected buildings was a challenge on its own. When we arrived to our room, we found it quite spacious. It was obvious that the hotel was dated and could use some updates. However, for the price we were paying I could not complain. Beds were comfortable enough, although we found our room to be quite hot, despite turning down the thermostat. I heard from others that they found it hot in the rooms as well. The outdoor hottub was a hit with the kids. The Inns of Banff was an affordable hotel if you aren't looking for a special outing. It was a decent place to stay and sleep. No complaints for the purpose we were there."

July 2007 — "Room was more or less clean but in july with no air conditioning it was unbearable unless you open a window. Then laundry tubs crashed around all night long and at six am laundry trucks with back up alarms came in and slammed truck doors and ramps around. As soon as he left a bus backed in and idled with fumes coming in the window. wood frame building meant your could hear 70 people of the tour bus stomp past your room. We tried the laundry that was a joke! HOWEVER the food at the restaurant was a bit slow but worth the wait."

"A Great Room with OK Customer Service"

October 2006 — "We recently stayed at Inns of Banff. At first we were not impressed with the staff at the front desk because when we came into the hotel to ask if they had availability, they stated that they only had rooms with two double beds for $189. We didn't need two beds, so we decided to look elsewhere. We ended up at one of the hotels that are owned by the same company and they looked in their computer and found a bunch of rooms that were available at the Inns of Banff with one King sized bed. We made a reservation and then headed back over to that hotel to show them our reservation. We were pretty angry at this point that they had lied to us. However, the rooms were great and we would definitely stay there again. The beds are sooooooo amazing."
