September 2008 — "We stayed at the Element O Hotel Suite in downtown Calgary for four nights and found some of the information given on the website misleading. They state "heated towel racks" (did not work), "housekeeping" but failed to include, except on weekends (the bulk of our trip), "fully equipped kitchens" (sadly lacking in both cooking utensils and amenities, not even a knife for cutting an apple or cheese) and the stove was difficult to work as it was a European model with no instructions. The bathroom breaker kept kicking out when the light and fan were both on. Upon our arrival, it was not clean. The floor was filthy and not swept or washed and everything was also very dusty. Also, there was no parking for our smaller SUV.

"At O Hotel Suites, we strive to provide a home away from home with a hassle-free experience for all of our guests. It appears as though we fell short of our core values with Linda's stay.
We have looked into all of Linda's comments and have gone through each suite in the building to ensure that there are four place settings, four sets of flatware, cooking utensils, and knives readily available in the suites. We will be including oven and stove operating instructions as well as washer/dryer combo unit instructions in our O Hotel City Guide. We are also in the process of altering our website to indicate that housekeeping is done daily Monday to Friday and that those guests who are staying primarily over the weekend will have the option to request additional housekeeping services. And finally, our housekeeping staff was made aware of the cleanliness of the suites and have been instructed to be more rigorous in their efforts.
The heated towel racks do, in fact, work however, in an effort to keep the suites cool during the summer months, we turned off the boiler that directly links to the towel bars.
Parking is limited at the building, both in number and size. Our sales team is instructed that if the guest does require parking, to let them know.
We do appreciate Linda's comments as we feel that every piece of feedback is a valuable opportunity to bring us from good to GREAT!"
