August 2006 — " We were greeted upon our arrival by Dawn, the friendly and energetic innkeeper. She is a wealth of knowledge about the local points of interest since she grew up in the area. The Colonial House is in a perfect location right in the center of town. You are able to walk to all of the shops, restaurants, Fort Ligonier and, most importantly, the Town Square. How many towns do you know of that still have a meticulously maintained square containing a beautiful gazebo, lovely flowers and more than enough benches for all who care to absorb the serenity of this area? The Inn itself has a small front porch that is perfect for sitting and chatting, snuggling up with the family cats, or reading a good book. The sleeping accommodations allow for a restful night's sleep. Upon awakening you will be delighted with the scrumptious breakfast goodies that Dawn has prepared. My favorites were the yogurt with fresh peaches & granola and the blueberry pancakes. Overall, I feel renewed and rested after our weekend getaway."
