November 2011 — "An unbelievable surprise - and the motel "bar" has been definitely raised. The owner showed us personally to the room, even taking the time to move a chair and table to outside our door. After showing us the amenities of these gorgeous rooms he politely gave us a local food review, very helpful and accurate info. Next morning refreshed & relaxed from the peaceful quiet night he amazed me again by remembering our names. Very reasonable rate also, we can comfortably recommend this motel and will be staying there every time we pass through Cranbrook. In fact we'll go out of our way - which we never do. Best accommodation this side of 300 bucks we've ever had."

October 2008 — "I really enjoyed the walking trails. I went about the trails every day I could. The weather was only perfect one day of my stay, but the rooms were warm and inviting. Seemingly brand new and certainly up-to-date and clean! I highly recommend this lodge to anyone. They are professional and down-to-earth. Very nice to meet people like this! Easy to deal with, surpassing my expectations beyond belief! What a great place. Have to stay in the summer sometime to go golfing on their mini golf course! Beds were warm and very comfortable, too!"

This new lodge is located at the west entrance to Cranbrook, overlooking the 250-acre (101-ha) Elizabeth Lake Bird Sanctuary. Every unit has a full kitchen with a real hardwood floor entrance. The rooms feature Windsor beds by Hypnos, flat-screen TVs and heated Italian tile in every bathroom. An RV Park and the History of the Kootenays Mini Golf are also located on the premises.
