June 2010 — "I was travelling by myself, going from a place in southern Manitoba to Thunder Bay and was glad to find, as I entered Fort Frances, a decent inexpensive motel. I really dislike spending $90 or more for a room and a bed that I will use less than 12 hours. This motel is well kept and cost me, a single person, $52.00. The owner was very pleasant and offered me a discount for seniors. He even had cheaper rooms, but they were taken. I paid $57.20 with the various taxes and I was very happy with it. It is near fast food restaurants but I chose to take a sandwich and drive down to sit by the river, about a 5 minute drive. The room was clean and comfortable with TV and air conditioning. It smelled a bit of cleaning fluid, however and I had to air it out. The only drawback was the lack of windows you could open. A window at the back looking onto the forest would have been a nice touch. "
