April 2011 — "We booked online about a week in advance. When we arrived at about 1900 hrs my wife was told told that the room we booked online was not available anymore; that they had given it to someone else because it was after 1600 hrs. We had booked a non-smoking room with a double bed, a single bed, and a fold out couch. My wife came out to the car to let us know the bad news so I went in and asked why I bothered to book online. She looked at the reservation print out that we supplied them and she said there was nothing on the sheet that said non-smoking; that we should have called them instead. I asked why they bothered to have anything online in the first place and she replied that they didn't have a choice. We took the room because there wasn't anything else available in town.
At the room there were two double beds - exactly what we didn't ask for. Plus because it was a smoking room it reeked of stall cigarette smoke. I promptly began phoning around hoping there would be a cancellation somewhere else. Ten minutes later we found something somewhere else and went back to cancel. She looked dumbfounded but refunded our credit card."

July 2010 — "Certainly Not a place to go for a romantic getaway, but for short visit or a stop on the way thru it is good. The room was dated but kept clean. The bed was comfortable though would have been better with newer pillows. I didn't notice the noise from the highway, however if you're a light sleeper, I would suggest requesting a room on the second floor so as to not hear steel toe boots walking above you. You may also want to bring earplugs so as to not hear the diesel trucks starting up in the morning. They provide the basics (shampoo, soap, lotion, hairdryer). If you need hair conditioner be sure to bring your own as it is not provided. There is a small fridge which is a nice feature and the sink and mirror is seperate from the bath and toilet, which I personally like.
The staff were friendly and willing to accomodate a late check in. They also helped to sort out the confusion of the address which showed it on highway 2 south. (It is actually on the east side / north-bound side of highway 2)
All in all respectable qualty for the money."

December 2009 — "We checked in and front desk staff was not friendly and
was not organized. She did not know about Previlage card,
the room was not clean and smelled smoke in non smoking.
Pillows were dirty. Breakdfast was ok not good for the price
of over 100.00. We do not recommend. Not good experience."

June 2008 — "This hotel looked very nice on the internet. Upon arriving there, we saw that it was a typical motor court hotel. The front desk agent was inattentive, but did her job and checked us in. As we opened the door, we could smell that our non-smoking room had once been a smoking room. There was a tiny closet of a kitchen in the room. It was decently clean. The one bedroom was a good size and had a double bed and a single bed. The living room had a TV and a pull out couch. Staying in the room was myself and my kid brother and sister, and my friend and her young son. The room was a bit crowded with all our luggage. The beds were alright, defiantly not new, but decent. The shower was a pretty good size and clean. There was a continental breakfast in the main reception area. We were the only people there in the morning eating. It was a very typical breakfast with cereals, muffins, Danishes and juice. The total cost for the room for one night was $104. This hotel was convenient, located just off Highway 2, but I had a very hard time getting used to the odor of the room. We will probably be checking in somewhere else next time we stay in Red Deer."
