"You get what you pay for"

July 2011 — "We stayed at the Lost Harbour for a week and overall it was all right. Pricewise it was an excellent deal to stay here. As for the carry-over noise from other rooms and inside the room, this place echos really bad. My wife had to wear earplugs whenever we went to bed as she is a light sleeper. The beds are pretty uncomfortable and the pillows not so great (so bring your own). The foldout couch they advertised was a futon that was in dire need of a new matress. On the plus side there was a microwave, mini-fridge, toaster and a free to use bbq outside in the gazebo. The place is really clean and the staff was excellent to deal with."

June 2011 — "The rooms were nice. Depending who worked the front desk, they were pleasant. The only problem is cleaning the rooms, or at least coming to remove the garbage. No matter how busy or slow,the rooms should be taken care of daily. Other then that I would come back. "

December 2010 — "Matched our expectations fine without exceeding them. For the money you will pay for a room here, you should be perfectly happy. The staff are friendly and helpful while location is pretty good too. This was my second choice motel but my first choice booking elsewhere had been annoyingly double booked, this was a more than suitable backup option."

May 2010 — "Clean rooms, friendly staff that is willing to work with your schedule. Fantastic value for your money. I would not hesitate to book this place again. If you have kids that want "the pool" there is a public pool close by. The reasonable rates would be attractive to any sports teams attending functions. They have cereal, toast, juice and coffee in the morning too :o)"

August 2009 — "Our family had stayed at the Lost Harbour Inn a couple of years ago and were very impressed. On our visit this August we were extremely disappointed. The Inn was under new management and the upkeep was not to the same standard as it once was. The room was not clean - the stairs in our loft suite were not vacuumed, the toilet was not clean, there were cobwebs every where and the couch appeared not to have been steam cleaned in ages. As well there was a broken lamp, two towels for a family of five and one glass which meant we were constantly heading to the front desk to get things. We found someone else's clothes left in the room!! The back entrance to the Inn was filthy and the stairs were in need of repair. The continental breakfast which was once magnificant now consisted of of a loaf of white bread and two containers of cereal. This will be our last visit!! "

February 2009 — "Decided to get away for a small winter break with the family and stayed here. The room was spacious, clean and well presented. We found the staff to be friendly, courteous and warm, while the location is superb. All in all a nice picturesque place which we will be staying at again in the summer!"

July 2007 — "Similar to Racoon Lodge, this motel wasn't bad at all. It was clean and included breakfast. It wasn't anything fancy but for a motel it met my standards. Make sure you take showers in the morning and afternoon because after 7pm the water becomes cold. "
