January 2009 — "We recently went on an overnight trip to Victoria and stayed at the Chateau Victoria. The Chateau Victoria is easy to get to. Drive into Victoria on the main highway and the hotel is right downtown only half a block off Douglas Street. We parked out front, went inside and quickly checked in. The staff member who checked us in was very friendly and directed us to the parking area. There was lots of available parking. Our room was quite large and had a king sized bed as well as two chairs, desk and large tv. And we had a great view of downtown Victoria. There were vending machines on our floor but sadly they weren't stocked very well. After visiting vending machines on other floors, we found what we were looking for. The hotel is perhaps a bit dated but still very clean. And the rate was reasonable. We would stay at this hotel again. "
