August 2010 — "My husband and I had the opportunity to visit beautiful Victoria for a wedding at the end of August. We had our little dog with us so we were looking for a pet-friendly hotel downtown. The Quality Inn Downtown has four pet-friendly rooms and pets can stay for an extra $20+tax per night. The room we stayed in was very small, but quaint and comfortable. Unfortunately, it was also located almost directly above the hotel's pub. Being a Saturday, the pub was busy all night and people were hooting and hollering below our window until the wee hours of the morning. Needless to say, we didn't get a very good sleep. That said, the hotel is conveniently located just two blocks from the Inner Harbour and some of Victoria's best known attractions. It is reasonably priced and the staff we dealt with were helpful and friendly. I was able to check in a few hours early and check out an hour late, which really helped us out. Parking is available for $6.00 a night. This is a nice place to stay, but try to book a room overlooking Burdett Avenue as it will be much quieter!"
