September 2008 — "We have stayed at the Royal Scot Suites Hotel several times, and had been very pleased. The location is great, being just a couple of blocks from the Inner Harbour in Victoria. We had some specific requests which had been confirmed, and were not in the room we were to receive. We were given a room which had a squeaky double bed in the partitioned room, but also a double bed which was about two feet away from the front of the chesterfield. There were a number of upgrades that were needed in this room, such as shower head, coffee pot lid, slow stove elements, refrigerator balancing, etc. just to name a few. Regular maintenance was needed. We were also surprised to have our statement appear under the door one day early. I was not overly pleased with the response form the clerk when I phoned- they had rented our room out for a few days. Too Bad!! I am grateful that I had e-mailed and stated very clearly 12-18 inclusive. This was quickly resolved, and we did not move from our room. These incidents are not what we have found in the past when staying here, and we will stay again. We were given a weekly rate, when requested initially; the hotel has in room safes, a games room( pool table and shuffle board), an activity room with board games and piano, and a swimming pool and small exercise room. Its location and usual helpful and efficient staff says we will likely be back! "
