October 2008 — "LaQuinta has staked its reputation as a moderate to lower-priced hotel option. We checked in on a Friday night and spent the weekend in this suburban Chicago location. The hotel has apparently been refurbished in recent years and we were pleased with our first floor room. A large king-sized bet was accented by a desk large enough to accommodate two people. It was a good location for my laptop computer and work papers. The bathroom was simply one of the largest I've ever seen in a hotel of this type. Two complaints, though: The white tile showed shoeprints just from walking on it with black soles and the showerhead is too low for anyone over 5'10. The TV was a good quality model with a decent selection of channels. LaQuinta offers a hot breakfast each morning from 6-10 AM which included make-them-yourself waffles, pancakes, bacon, yogurt, bagels, three kinds of cereal, coffee and juice. A nice feature that more and more hotels are discovering attracts travellers. The staff was friendly and helpful. The first floor could use an ice machine! Our room was $79.95, typical for Chicago but LaQuinta has a frequent guest program and we took advantage of our one free night points accumulation. "
