October 2008 — " On the grounds of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate and the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, the hotel is a modern, well equipped hotel perfect for out of town guests looking for a getaway or anyone attending a conference on or off-site at this city near St. Louis. The hotel is priced at less than $90, sometimes much less. Not only does the two story hotel offer comfortable, clean rooms, it is very quiet. The hotel seems to attract a well-mannered, adult crowd and since it isn't a chain, it's not on the radar screens of many travellers. Each room is equipped with free WIFI, expanded cable, hair dryers and coffee makers. There is a guest laundry and the hotel is adjacent to the outstanding restaurant also located on the grounds of the Shrine. The staff is unfailingly pleasant and helpful, in keeping with the Shrine's mission. Our stay was probably the third or fourth in the last five years and each time we've been pleased with our experience. We can't recommend the hotel strongly enough to anyone looking for a unique hotel, off the beaten path."
