February 2009 — "Breathtaking views with outstanding amenities! The one bedroom lodge room we stayed in was gorgeous. Like a home away from home. Granite slab island in the kitchen for eating, heated slate floors in the bathroom and bamboo flooring in the living room. Two LCD TVs in the suite one in the bedroom and one in the living room above the fire place. Beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains and the Three Sisters from both the living room and bedroom in addition to the nice little sitting area on the deck! The restaurant in the lodge was top notch as well; The Wild Orchid Asian Bistro had a great menu at a decent price point for what you got (the crunchy salmon rolls are money!) We had a quick look through the spa and it was very well appointed but we did not use it….looked great though. I can’t say we had any complaints with our 1 bedroom grand suite, we stayed with our 16 month old and had no problem. You could even fit the playpen in the laundry room so he could sleep in peace and we could have some time to ourselves! Yes, there is even laundry! The coolest thing was that the deep tub surrounded by slate filled up from the ceiling! So COOL! Bedroom had a very comfortable king size bed and an unobstructed view of the mountains! Gorgeous. With underground parking and the quietness of the lodge, I give it a top rating and because of this, our family has stayed here 4 times now. We live close to Canmore in Calgary and it is the perfect getaway for the adventurous or the relaxation. You can get it all at Silver Creek Lodge. "
