October 2008 — "The Queenscliff Inn is both a hotel and a YHA Backpackers and you can choose to have breakfast included with your stay. It's a beautiful old building with hardwood floors and a big, wide staircase. It's located on the main street of little Queenscliff and is convenient if you are catching the ferry. The bathrooms have been re-done so you don't have to worry that the plumbing is too old to handle a busy hotel. There is a great sitting room with a fire place and many comfortable chairs to be cozy and read a book if the weather is chilly. The 6 bed dorm bed I stayed in was fine. The best part about the beds is the big comforters that are used on them. I can imagine in the winter the big hotel must get pretty chilly and some good bedding would be a necessity. There is a small kitchen that guests are welcome to use to make their own food. I loved staying here as I loved the beautiful old building."
