July 2010 — "We were so impressed by the room (especially the bathroom) and the convenient access to Utica, NY, that we have already made a reservation here for a year from now. Hoping to get a late check-out (after 11h00), we told the desk staff how pleased we were. It didn't work. Our request was not granted. After going to Utica in the morning, we rushed back to use our room and the small, warm, greenish, indoor swimming pool. However, by 10h40, our keys had already been deactivated. We checked at the desk and had the key card reactivated and made the most of our stay. A very small shop (open all night) for munchies is located on the way to the 24h business centre which has one computer. We purchased a movie in our room ($13.99). No pets are allowed. The Wingate is located in the Griffiss art park which if full of sculptures and geocaches, some things to explore even at night."
