October 2011 — "The Glacier View Inn is not in the town of Jasper, but it is located in the southern part of Jasper National Park. It is the place where you buy tickets to take a trip out onto the Columbia Icefields. While scouring the Internet for a good hotel price on a Friday night in Jasper National Park, I found a room in the Glacier View Inn for $71 plus tax. Compared to the prices in Jasper that evening that price was a real steal. I wasn't expecting such a nice room! It was a big room plus a loft. The bed was really comfortable....more comfortable than the bed in my $159 plus tax room the night before. The main part of the room had a queen bed and the loft had two twins. A nice bonus was that the water from the taps was glacier water. They had springs on them to turn off the water as soon as you took your hand off the handle. We stayed there only the one night, but also enjoyed the Dining Room and a hike up to the glacier. "

September 2011 — "Many years ago I visited the Glacier Ice fields with my parents – probably the ‘70’s, and I recall the Inn seemed like just steps away from the base of the glacier on the other side of the road. Now, it is an actual 15 – 20 minute hike up the hill to get to the base of the glacier if you are walking. It was fun to stay at the Inn – there is only one floor of rooms and we ended up with the “mountain view” – in other words, not the view of the glacier. It was a very nice room with a loft – a queen on the main floor with the bathroom, a small table and chairs and a TV, and the upstairs had two twin beds. The bed was very comfortable and had a nice warm duvet. The room (both up and down) was nice and clean, as was the bathroom. It was very quiet in the evening and the overall stay was pleasant for just under $80 through Expedia. I would recommend this as a great place to stay if you are planning to check out the area and in particular for a proper tour of the ice fields."
