March 2011 — "The Sheraton Hotel Toronto City Centre is a really nice hotel. Located in the centre of Toronto, this hotel is luxury hotel without the overly expensive hotel prices. The hotel also connects with the PATH, the underground shopping tunnel system, which is nice in winter. Even though the hotel was busy, check-in was quick and easy. All the staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and nicely made up daily. The staff also helped suggest great local restaurants nearby. "

"The The Good Bad, And The Expensive"

December 2009 — "Staying at the Sheraton was like staying at a very busy palace, as beautiful as it is though, you know it has to have some sub-par rooms. The beds we’re extremely comfortable, with smooth sheets and pillows you completely sink into, there is nothing better than heading back to your hotel after a long day of shopping at the Eaton Centre, which is less than a km away I might add, and sinking into those glorious havens of comfort. The room was pretty standard: bathtub with shower, television, sink, lamps, and air control. The bathroom was very beautiful with granite counter tops and silver fixtures. When checking in to our hotel room, a line unbelievably long stretched before and behind us. It was only getting longer. Six employees were busy checking people in, but they were barely making a dent in the mass of people who had all arrived precisely at three p.m. for the room check in. Our room unfortunately was not ready, but they offered the alternative of storing our things for us, while it was being cleaned. A fair compromise for a clean room, and an excellent room rate, found through an online booking site. Although checking in was slow going, the service staff was extremely polite and accommodating, and upon our return, escorted us up to our room personally. The restaurant was closed for renovations, and we spent some time misdirected by multiple signs assuring us it was open, and pointing us towards the upstairs cafe, and then back down to the closed restaurant, we all had a laugh at our confusion. The cafe prices were unseemly, going anywhere from twelve to twenty dollars for a single drink, and fifteen dollars for a salad, made with only lettuce. It seemed to me that wherever you looked the Sheraton was trying to sneak in extra fees and costs, such as the room service, twelve dollars for cereal plus a five dollar delivery fee, and fifteen percent tip, all mandatory fees. You end up paying nearly twenty-five dollars for a single bowl of cereal, where in purchasing an entire box you could probably buy five. Parking was forty dollars per night, and the garage building was so huge that a valet actually had to park your car. There was a magnificent indoor and outdoor pool, that although it was winter, many people were swimming in. The hotel is located near many restaurants and city hall, where public skating was available. Overall, the customer service was excellent, but if you’re planning on eating when you stay there, I would suggest looking for some close by restaurants, or some cheaper parking."
