"Outstanding, Friendly Mid-Range Place to Stay"

February 2010 — "I was in Indio for a concert at the Fantasy Springs Resort (which was full) and not knowing anything about the local accommodations, randomly chose the Quality Inn Indio and crossed my fingers.
The Quality Inn Indio is a 2-story hotel with all room doors in the interior halls (better for safety reasons - although I was never overly concerned about it while there).
The room was clean, everything worked, and was more than adequate for my needs. In the room I had a real nice set up of a frig (larger than most other motels), microwave, and coffee maker. The beds were great, too.
Free continental breakfasts are served in the small lobby, with tables and chairs for the guests. Plenty to eat & drink there. The only thing I would have liked to have had was a boiled egg. But I'm being nit-picking. There just isn't much to say negatively about the Quality Inn Indio.
If you are looking for shopping or grocery stores, take a right going out of the motel parking lot. In a few minutes you will come to large grocery stores, banks, a Wal-Mart, and eating establishments.
The one thing that struck me the most about the Quality Inn Indio was the management and staff members. I asked for a late check out, which they seemed happy to grant with a smile. I had had a tire blow out on the long drive to Indio, and they helped me find a reputable place to go, plus gave me plenty of sympathy, support, and best wishes for my situation.
I was just a few minutes late getting back for check out, and I happened to run into the manager as I dashed for my room. He was all smiles and told me to take my time getting packed, without an ounce of irritation in his voice at my tardiness.
Largely because of the staff, I will definitely stay at the Quality Inn in Indio again should I ever be in the area again. These days, it is rare to find staff at a mid-range motel this friendly who will go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible."
