April 2007 — "This was by far the worst motel I have ever attempted to stay in. Or initial impression was "well it is just for one night." The young woman at the front desk seemed disinterested in anything even remotely pertaining to our stay and basically dismissed us after having checked us in. We were orignally given a "room" which could have been compared to a large prison cell with its own private washroom. There wasn't a clean place to lay our things and it appeared that the sheets may have been washed sometime this century, but it was very difficult to ascertain. The televison appeared to be sitting on some form of wood, while the "bed" appeared to be something out of an old "I Love Lucy" episode. You know the one where the group travels across country and Fred and Ethel share a sinking bed. Once our complaint was acknowledged, by the again disinterested young woman, I can only assume that the man who showed us a second room was the manager. Again, we were presented with what appeared to be unwashed sheets, bedspread, etc. It appeared as if the room had not been dusted in number of days and there was a generally "sticky" feeling in the room. Redlands, I might add, does not have a humid climate, so as to the "sticky" feeling, one could only imagine. Needless to say, we did not patronize this establishment and had our credit card reimbursed immediately. I highly recommend staying at either the Comfort Suites or the Sandman/Best Wetsern since both of these establishments have friendly staff, clean, comfortable and affordable rooms. As for the Super 8, well you may want to avoid it like the plague."
