March 2008 — "I booked the room online at the Super Eight in Safford Arizona. The only reason I booked it at the Super eight is that the Hotels that were above them on the list were all booked. My wife and I arrived late (around 8:00pm) the front desk person took my credit card and said "that is one smoking room two beds". She got "two beds" out of her mouth and I stopped her. Arizona just passed smoking laws that are very strict. I questioned her about the room and was told that they smell "very smoky". At this point I should tell you my wife suffers from emphysema, a deadly lung disease. I told the clerk that I did not want that room that I wanted a "non smoking" room. She said they did not have a non smoking room available. I took my card and left. We spent the night in a smaller, older motel in Safford but at least it didn't smell like smoke. If you're not a smoker do not book a room in this hotel. "
