September 2011 — "For $150 we got a deal on line and we booked a superior room with a king-sized bed. To be honest I expected more from a superior room. Apparently what makes it superior is that it is a bit bigger room and has better linen, a fridge and microwave. It also had real glass cups and wine glasses which I appreciated. The bathroom was very small and the tub was standard with a fair-sized chip in the enamel. The television was fairly small as well. I enjoyed the comfortable bed but unfortunately the pillows were all to high and hard for me. Luckily I had my own pillow in the car. Internet and free parking were complimentary for all guests, regardless of what type of room you had. Breakfast was very good with eggs, sausage, bacon, yogurt, juice, coffee, toast and much more. They used real plates and cutlery as well. So as you can see this place has some definite positives but some negatives as well. I wouldn’t bother with a superior room in the future unless you needed the fridge, microwave, or a tiny bit more space. "

September 2011 — "The Coast Hotels do a good job of wooing us into believing we will be staying in a grand place with grand extras and I have to say after this trip I'll just go for the cheapest room and not worry about the extras. I was excited to learn that I would be staying in a "Superior" room at a Coast Hotel as I was ready for some pampering. To get to the room on the 5th floor we had to use our key to access the hallway where the room is located. Already it seemed like it was going to be impressive. When I opened the door to see what looked like a standard room...but a bit bigger. One solitary bathrobe sat on the bed even though there were two people. On the plus side, the room was fairly clean except for dust and a bit of gunk in one of the corners in the bathroom. There was a microwave and a fridge. In-room coffee and tea with real coffee cups and wine glasses were provided and the bed was comfortable enough. While the room was quite large, the bathroom was incredibly small! The door whacked me more than once when I was brushing my teeth and my roommate came in. The reception was lukewarm and there wasn't much along the line of smiles (which they go on and on about in their ads). On the plus side, a complimentary hot and cold breakfast buffet was offered although it ended at 9 am. My suggestion? Go for the cheapest room and don't worry about the extras - the bed is comfortable enough."
