September 2007 — "The Hotel Mar Monte is a beautiful Hotel across the street from the beach. My family and I were lucky enough to receive a room with an ocean view. The room was a nice size with french doors that opened up to a patio that faced the ocean. The bedding smelled clean and fresh. The only complaint I had, which I discussed with the hotel, was the dirty carpeting. The carpet was so dirty, when walking barefoot the bottoms of our feet turned black. We asked to be moved to another room which the hotel did without complaint but needless to say, the carpet in that room was also dirty but not as dirty as the first room. Because my infant daughter is at the crawling stage, I requested sheets and layed them on floor."
