May 2010 — "What should have been a comfortable, relaxing retreat turned out to be a plain, stuffy, and unenjoyable weekend. The lodge staff only seemed half-interested and almost irritated when answering any questions, were not terribly helpful regarding activities and day-trip advice. The menu was plain and uninspired. Furthermore, the owner prowled the resort scolding our children who, after a three-hour car trip, were anxious to play outside. This lodge is not a place to recommend. The next time, we will stay in French River or even Sudbury."
