July 2010 — "I had a nice weekend out in Banff with a friend and we decided to stay at The Juniper Hotel. It was a super modern, nice and cozy hotel that was mind you, a little further away from the core of the city than I would have hoped or thought, but all we really needed was really the bedroom, which was really clean and spacious. I really liked the ambiance of the hotel and the service there was very nice. It's got free parking and wireless internet as well. Very convenient! Most likely because of the fact it is away from the city, it also offered a great view of the mountains. I'd say that the pictures of the hotel before I booked really lured us, but I think staying there proves that you get what you pay for. If you get this room on sale, it is definitely worth it."

"Nice Jacuzzi!"

February 2009 — "My wife decided to surprise me with a night in Banff and she chose the Juniper because she had heard good things about the hotel, and she thought that a an in-room Jacuzzi would be a nice touch. The Juniper is located at the base of the road to Norquay, just across the highway from the Banff townsite. When we arrived, we were checked it by a very talkative man, who kept us there for a good 10 minutes just talking. Upon arrival in our room, we were quite pleased. The bathroom was nice and big with a two-person Jacuzzi tub. The bed was really big and extremely comfortable and the TV was a good size. Our room overlooked Banff and there was a balcony, the only downfall was that the hotel is on a hill overlooking the highway. The decor was contemporary and tasteful. The Jacuzzi was very awesome and relaxing. The shower head was above our heads in the ceiling and quite large. I think I had three or four showers in our one night there because it was so nice. There are two things I didn't like about the hotel, however. Firstly, they had rented the restaurant (which was under our room) out for a private function that had a dance going until at least 1am. The music was extremely loud and if we had been trying to sleep, it would have been very, very annoying. Instead, we just turned the TV up as loud as possible to drown out the dance music. It was ironic because they hotel's policy is that quiet time is from 11pm to 8am or something like that, and this party was definitely not quiet. The second thing that kind of stuck out in my mind is that someone had ordered room service before we arrived at 4pm and left their dishes in the hallway. This morning when we left around 9am, the same dishes with food on them were still there. Overall, I would recommend this hotel (as long as they haven't rented the restaurant out). The location is nice, the room was great, the bed was comfortable and the Jacuzzi was relaxing."
