July 2011 — "Hotel Arts is located in downtown Calgary, a little out of the way of all the noise and crowds. It's a close walk to all the popular restaurants and bars though, making it a great place to stay if you like nightlife. We stayed a night in one of their regular rooms, which I found to be quite nice, classy and comfortable. I will say that I was a bit bothered that we had to pay for parking in the hotel. I felt it should have been included in the cost of our room. The lobby is really modern and cool, with a fireplace, interesting furniture, and a lot of stone work. There is even an outdoor pool which looks quite clean and well maintained, although we didn't use it. The beds are extremely luxurious, and were definitely my favorite part with the duvet and super soft sheets. It was hard to get out of bed in the morning! This is a great place to stay if you are looking for a great price with a sophisticated feel. "

July 2011 — "Although we are from Calgary, we booked a night at Hotel Arts to celebrate our anniversary. The website is beautiful so I had to try out the hotel. They have a good deal if you book in advance. We received 20% off our room for booking two weeks in advance. It's not much to look at on the outside and is obviously an older building that has been renovated and given a serious facelift. Inside the lobby is beautiful and they have a little art gallery displaying local artists right off the lobby. The front counter wasn't overly friendly, but we were checked in quickly and easily. The rooms are very modern and quite striking, decorated with dark, solid colors. The bed was very luxurious. The only thing that was a bit off was the bathtub. It looked like that was the only thing they forgot to renovate! We had a great night and enjoyed the location of the hotel as it was close to all the nice clubs and restaurants downtown. "

November 2007 — "The Hotel Arts merges hospitality and high culture with delightful results.
The chic lobby also acts as a vibrant gallery, featuring the works of Brad Harms and a glass sculpture by Barry W. Fairbairn. Upon entering, the staff are welcoming and informative, and eager to show off the works that adorn the walls. The furniture is strikingly modern yet inviting.
The poolside chaise lounges, imported from Italy, are decadently luxurious and it's difficult to believe this calming oasis is smack in the middle of the city.
The rooms are small yet elegant, with sleek design, sumptuously comfortable beds, and wall-mounted LCD screen televisions.
Located just off the lobby, Saint Germain has quickly risen to culinary stardom and consistently appears on critics' top ten lists. The menu is sophisticated and diverse while the service is attentive, without being pesky.
From the managers (a friend was in a bind and the manager lent her his laptop for the day) to the servers at the hyper-hip Raw Bar (the oysters are sublime) , the urbane approach at the Hotel Arts results in a cosmopolitan and rejuvenating experience.

PRISM Awards

The Calgary Association of Professional Coaches is hosting the annual Prism Awards to acknowledge businesses achieving great success through Professional Coaching.
Past PRISM awards included: EnCana, Tucker WireLine Services, Agrium, Mount Royal Health Centre, BMW Gallery, VEER Inc., City of Calgary, and Rebecca Graham, Investors Group.
CAPC is also very excited about our keynote speaker, Mr. W. Brett Wilson. While many will recognize Mr. Wilson for his role on CBC television's "The Dragon's Den", many may not realize that Brett benefits from being coached by an experienced member of the Calgary Association of Professional Coaches (CAPC). Named Alberta Venture’s 2008 Business Person of the Year, Brett is an accomplished entrepreneur, philanthropist, and speaker. Brett supports coaching and endorses the importance of having a coach in his own life and business. Brett has shared the stage with Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Donald Trump. His core message is about Redefining Success.
