May 2009 — "My wife and I headed out to Banff for the long weekend in May to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Because it was the long weekend the prices right in town were quite high and we were looking to save some bucks and the price at the Rocky Mountain Resort seemed just right. Its been years since we had stayed there, and really not much has changed. It is getting really run down and it looks like it is time to put some work into the place! The room was really small - but included a full kitchenette and fireplace and our own little patio which was nice. The place was packed with small families...not exactly the romantic get-away we were hoping for. But it was really clean and the staff were really helpful and friendly. The pool was also in desperate need of some work...infact it was being worked on while we were there so we were unable to use it. The hot tub was nice though and outside so we did take advantage of that....all and all I say just ok!"
