March 2009 — "We had no intention of visiting Bonners Ferry! It was not in our plan. We expected my brother-in-law and his family to arrive neatly over the border from Idaho and stay in Fernie with us for a few days. Unfortunately a deer in the road changed all that. So, we went down to see them and we all stayed at the Log Inn. We had a large room with a king size bed and a sofa and armchair. The bathroom closet area was the full length of the room so there was lots of space to move around and the basin was separate from the bath shower and toilet unit, which I liked. It was a motel so we walked straight outside from our room but it had a deck area that was the full length of the building and outside each room there was a table and two chairs so you could sit out and enjoy the sunshine. There was no coffee in the room but complimentary coffee and juice as well as poppy seed bread that was too die for was available in the reception/shop area in the morning before 10am. "

"Great place to stay!"

June 2007 — "I was thrilled to find this absolute gem of a place in Bonner's Ferry on a recent road trip. We just needed a place to stay that wasn't expensive on our way through, so we were thrilled when the Log Inn turned out to be much better than we had expected. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The property itself is very cute, with lots of attention to detail and cleanliness. There is even a decorative pond with a fountain that you can enjoy while sitting at the comfy chairs and table that are in front of each room. The building is made of logs (as the name would suggest) so it is really soundproof and quiet. Our room was really spacious, with a king-sized log bed. Breakfast was also a pleasant surprise. The lemon poppyseed cake was the best I've ever tasted. I was still craving it a week later! I would highly recommend staying here and I would love to come back and stay again."
