December 2009 — "The Hyatt Regency was the hotel of choice for my partner's office Christmas party. My first impressions were not so good. Perhaps it was a poor time to arrive, between 3 and 4 o'clock on a Saturday. There was no place to stop the car long enough to unload the luggage. The parking oval for valet patrons, customer vehicles and taxis was packed and there was no signage for alternatives. Nevertheless, my driver slowed down enough so that I could jump out in to the snow-covered sidewalk in the -28 degree temperatures. Entering the lobby, I then encountered a queue from the front desk to the door as customers like myself attempted to check in. The automated check-in booth was out of service and the three staff members (plus one trainee) were unable to assist me until after twenty minutes I stood there. The parking problems also caused a twenty-minute delay in retrieving my luggage from the car. When I finally got to my five-star room, things were more than acceptable. The tub looked inviting but my brief stay left no time for a tranquil rest. The television may have had some niceties but all I checked was the weather network. Similarly, I was unable to take advantage of the business room, the pool or the twenty-four-hour exercise room. I had no problem catching a city bus to attend the party and return to the hotel on Saturday night. On Sunday morning, the taxi was there immediately. "

November 2009 — "We came to Calgary for the Grey Cup and the Hyatt Regency was the best spot in town for all the festivities and exceptional service. We will definitely return."

December 2008 — "My office Christmas party was being held at the Calgary Tower and instead of worrying about a cab we decided to book a room at the nearby Hyatt, where we got a great rate. Both check-in and check-out were very efficient and friendly. Our room was nice and clean with a large bathroom which was perfect for two people. The room was really cold at first but we cranked the heat and when we got back to our room for the night, it was nice and toasty. The hotel is conveniently located near the C-Train and Stephen Avenue, making it an ideal stay for tourists and business travellers. Other highlights of the hotel include a spa, a collection of original artwork, restaurant/lounge and parkade. I would definitely recommend staying at the Hyatt Calgary. "
