June 2011 — "Overall friendly and quick service at check-in and check-out. Room was clean, modern and spacious. Good free breakfast featuring make your own waffles, plus the usual toast, muffins, bagels, juice, fruit, coffee, etc. The West Edmonton Mall, World of Science, and plenty of restaurants located in very short driving distance. The only issue was that there was a big spotlight from the parking lot shining onto the building and pretty much directly into our room, which was a little annoying. We basically had to keep the curtains completely closed all the time to avoid being blinded by the bright spotlight. I would recommend the Wingate to others staying in the area. "

February 2011 — "Stayed for 3 nights, clean room and facilities, staff pleasant, unfortunately lots of unruly kids staying with parents who didn't control them caused a bit of unpleasantness. I suggested to the hotel to have families stay on lower floors and those without kids stay on upper floor so those of us wanting quiet get it. Overall good stay and great hotel."

May 2007 — "My wife and I stayed at the Wingate Hotel for 5 days during a shopping trip to Edmonton. We really enjoy the West Edmonton Mall, and this Hotel is conveniently located about a 5 minute drive away. We found the rooms to be very clean and comfortable, the public areas were also kept very clean and the staff we dealt with from the front desk to the chambermaids, were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast offered free of additional charge, was delicious and varied. we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and have booked again for 5 days in July. We will unhesitatingly advise our friends to consider the Wingate when visiting Edmonton."

November 2006 — "Our first trip to Edmonton with the kids and this was probably the best location for us to have stayed. PROS: The breakfast selection was great..much better then just muffins and tea. Rooms were clean and spacious. Getting a crib for our daughter was fast and of no extra charge (bedding included). In Room movie rentals of all the recent releases along with nintendo games was fantastic for the kids. Location was great, close to WEM, Wal-Mart and other shopping. Homefire restaraunt was abit pricy but yummy!! CONS: We arrived to our hotel room very hot, the hallways were hot and the in room thermostat was alittle hard to understand how to work at first. Breakfast is served from 7-9am and with the time change we found it hard to drag our butts out of bed on time. (LOL) IF your not down there early the supply of food goes fast!! Services such as the pool and hot tub were out of service, movie rentals and games were out of service one night and staff had conflicting advice. Having the use of free internet service, copier, scanner and fax maching in the "Office" for guests to use was great. We could keep up to date with business and also print out Edmonton info. I would stay there again in a minute."
