July 2008 — "It is centrally located in Jasper, within walking distance to the town centre. For the price charged, one would expect an all-round better up-kept and equipped holiday accommodation."

"Good, but not Great"

June 2008 — "Lobstick Lodge is in a great location, just on the edge of the town of Jasper, but away from the hustle and bustle. For $177 a night, we had a room with two queen beds (we only needed one, but that was unavailable). When we arrived, Jasper was experiencing an unusual heat wave (90 degrees F), and our room faced south. It was like an oven! Apparently it rarely gets that hot in Jasper, so the only place in the hotel that has air conditioning is the bar on the third (top) floor. We were tempted to ask for mattresses so we could sleep up there. Our room was two rooms away from the lobby and thus was rather noisy. Children running up and down the halls and a huge, approximate 2-inch opening at the bottom of the door made for a noisy combination. The bed was reasonably comfortable, but the pillows were old, lumpy, foam and very flat. The sheets were old, and the fitted bottom sheet kept coming off. I guess for $177 we expected a bit more. For about the same price we could stay in a nicely appointed, air conditioned room in the U.S. It was Jasper, Alberta, though, and the scenery more than made up for the problems with the room."

"Sleepy Time!"

October 2007 — "Our stay was nice except when it came time to sleep. Had a room with 2 king size beds (which was nice) but they were very stiff. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and I would have to say this was one of the worst beds i have slept in. The pillows are right there with the beds (bad, no heavenly pillows here!). Also we stayed on the second floor, the floor above us creeked so bad when the people walked on it, this goes to say, not a good sleepy time for us."
