September 2009 — "If you're looking to find the one of the cheapest priced hotels in Calgary, look no further. I needed a place to stay for a night, had limited cash and at around $120 a night, was happy to find the Travelodge South. That said, you get what you pay for, because the rooms were in need of a makeover. The standard room only offers one queen size bed or two doubles and the room itself was tiny. Also, the carpets looked old and worn out and the overall ambiance was outdated. The clientele were somewhat questionable as well and I would not recommend bringing children here. All aesthetic qualities aside though, It was a sufficient hotel for my needs. Although I will probably never return, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who can get past looks, and who is simply in need of a bed for a night or two. "
