January 2009 — "My family and I had a wedding to attend in Jasper on Jan 3/09, so we decided to take a week winter vacation. The Marmot Lodge is very cozy, a usual hotel room with two queen beds made for a little bit of a cramped space, but Jasper is very beautiful so we really didn't spend much time in the room except for to sleep. I would like to however praise the staff at the Marmot from the Front Desk staff, maintenance staff and most importantly the housekeeping staff. The room everyday (when we remembered to put the Please Make Up Room sign on outside of the door) was cleaned spotless, I was very impressed. All the staff are very friendly and professional. I would also like to mention the restaurant that is adjacent to the front desk of the Marmot, Embers Restaurant. Again the staff was very friendly and professional, and the food was great. The breakfast buffet is great, as well as the price, what a great way to start your day!!!!! I would especially like to praise the food for supper.....I had the best steak ever and again the prices are fantastic. My family and I are planning to return to Jasper in the next year to experience Jasper in the summer and I with no hesitation will be booking my next stay at the Marmot Lodge."
