August 2010 — "I have to say that this campground was very nice as were the people. Our stay with our children was great. For a family, it was a nice place and the lake was beautiful. We truly enjoyed our trip and really liked this campground. I wish I would have gotten a heads up on the amount of fines that are given though. We received a ticket for over $80 for a life jacket that was the wrong size! Others were ticketed for fishing and for no ID. It's disturbing that the water police were looking to ticket anyone on the campsites that they could. So be careful. It was like a ticket frenzy out there. "

Located just off of Route 6, on Lake Wallenpaupack, the Wilsonville Camping Area is PPL's largest lakeside campground. It features 160 tent and trailer sites, and slip docks are available for rent. An adjacent public swimming beach is operated by Palmyra Township, which charges admittance.
