September 2008 — "My wife and I love camping out in the mountains and 2 years ago when we decided to get married we contacted the David Thompson resort and asked if we could get married there.What followed was one of the best experiences we have ever had dealing with the hospitality industry. they met with us on different occasions and helped us plan our dream wedding in the mountains going over every detail and giving us options.When it came to the day before and day of the wedding everything thing they had planed for us came off without a hitch all our guests were well taken care of in every way The staff was fast and friendly and helped eliminate lots of possible headaches.we had a wonderful steak dinner catered by them with all the fixings and desert.They supplied and took care of the bar and we made our guests all aware that the bar would be gone at 10:30 and after that they were welcome to drink at there campsites in or in there rooms provided they follow the rules set up by this FAMILY resort and no one had any problems.All in all if you are planning to have a wedding in the mountains I would recommend them to anyone who wants to deal with a place that is upfront and professional about the way they do business but can have fun and help your have the celebration of your life.Well I was there I also had the opportunity to eat in the restaurant for breakfast and lunch The breakfast buffet in the main dinning area well well priced and well stocked and it was all your can eat.For lunch I had the calamari and these guys can cook some pretty mean seafood being a few hundred miles from the ocean.The the room I stayed in was on the main floor of hotel it had 2 queens beds and a tv that i never turned on because I didn't; spend much time in there because of the hikes i was going on and the wedding but the room was well cleaned and well stocked and when I needed more towels I just asked.This rustic resort has a special place in my heart and I will stay there many more times in the up coming years."

July 2008 — "We had a excellent week stay, our kids really loved this place. Great value, lots to see and do, and their staff is really hospitable. If you are looking for a place in the Alberta Rockies to stay we strongly sudjest the David Thompson Resort, we will be going their again in July 2009. "

June 2008 — "We have camped at the David Thompson Resort a few times over the seasons..and have enjoyed our visits every time. We have brought other family members up 2-3 times and will be bringing family from Ont. again this summer. The staff is very friendly and very accomadating.I very much like the resort because of it's closeness to were we live .. and your into the mountains..which we love. We have a little dog..and they have never complained to us about her.Thanks for having such a nice campground and thanks to the staff for their smiles.Happy camping"

June 2007 — "the campground is a waste of money. Expensive. Have to pay for showers even though nightly cost on long weekend is $50.00. campsites are cramped and firepits are pathetic (either flush with the ground or broken concrete also at ground level. poola and sauna closed and the minigolf is not free either. will warn friends not to go there. needs major updating."

Description

The David Thompson Resort is a full-service family facility that features a hotel, cabins and a campground, surrounded by stunning mountain scenery. Guests can also rent modern, fully-equipped RVs that are permanently parked in the campground. Guests enjoy the Rocket Playground, volleyball, horse shoes and mini-golf facilities. An antique shop, convenience store, gas station, laundromat and all services are available on site. All camping sites are pull through and feature fire pits, picnic tables and treed lots. Available sites: unserviced, powered, and full service. In addition, there are showers, washrooms, firewood, laundry and more.
