August 2007 — "We camped there last summer in a pop-up camper. We had called about two weeks prior and made a reservation, the person on the phone was very nice and helpful with picking the correct site for my family of two kids and 3 dogs.
We had a great time, although I will agree with others that there was one lady
at the office that seemed she has had enough of running the place. I talked with her and she did warm up, but I would not say she was friendly.
Life throws at you all kinds of people, I didn't have to bring her home with me, so why let her ruin my stay.
The place is clean, and family oriented, no loud, disturbing parties. We plan on going back this summer and enjoy Utica again."

July 2007 — "I just came back from one of the most misrable camping experiences in my life. We drove from Chicago in traffic for a spur of the moment camping trip with a group of friends and their kids. We had 7 people and 2 kids but 4 cars and took tons of grief. She told my friend who drove 2 hours to get here to turn around and go home. Money was not an object, we just wanted to have a good time. We were made to feel uncomfortable and unwanted and will never stay anywhere near this place again. Also not really a good camping feel w/ the expressway right next to it. Save your money and patience and stay somewhere else. "

July 2007 — "Stayed at this campground for 2 nights. Was very clean, close to all attractions. Try to stay towards the back of the campground for least interstate noise.
Everything was very clean and well-kept, but staff seemed very strict. These are just some of the "rules" other campers and I learned this weekend.
They serve a purpose (else things probably wouldn't be so clean, but be prepared)
*No pets in the cabins, but you wouldn't know that up front as it isn't on the webiste
*No drinks AT ALL in the pool area...including water
*No additional guests during peak summer weekends
*Drive without a pass in your car? Risk being stopped!
*Pool closes at 8 pm sharp, but was opened early the next day and closed only for an hour on Sunday for weekly cleaning as it was so warm that day.
We all agreed that one of the staff members didn't do well with a full facility...she appeared to be stressed, but everyone else was very friendly."
